Mimi Kato, native to Nara, Japan, has lived and worked in the US since 1998. After completion of the MFA program at the University of Texas at San Antonio, Kato has been a resident artist in numerous artist-in-residency programs. Her past exhibition venues includes Artpace, San Antonio, TX; the Roswell Museum of Art, Roswell, NM; the Grand Rapids Art Museum, Grand Rapids, MI; Fotofest, Houston, TX; the Ballina Art Center, Ballina, Ireland and National Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington DC.
