We are pleased to announce our THIRD annual Bat City Review Editors' Prize Contest. Submissions open on APRIL 1 2022 and close APRIL 30 2022. We welcome submissions for three categories: Poetry; Prose; and Wild Card / Visual.

This contest is judged collectively by the editorial board of Bat City Review.

One winning piece will be selected in each category. Each winner will receive $500 and print publication in Bat City Review Issue 19 (Spring 2023). In addition, all submissions will also be considered for print publication.

You may submit up to three times per genre, a single piece per submission. Please review the guidelines carefully to be sure you’re submitting in the correct category.

This contest is not open to employees, students, or affiliates of the University of Texas at Austin. We're happy to read simultaneous submissions, but please let us know immediately if your piece is accepted elsewhere. We will not consider previously published work.
